Matayoshi Kobudo Kodokan International Badge

The Matayoshi Badge is very distinctive as it is the Japanese Imperial Crest, which is the flower of the Kiku (chrysanthemum). It was awarded to Matayoshi Shinko Sensei by the Emperor of Japan after his kobudo demonstration in 1915. Since then Matayoshi Shinko Sensei has used this as a symbol of his organisation. As part of this organisation members of the MKKI - UK Branch are given the opportunity to wear this badge on their Gi (suits)
